Common Car Insurance Questions

Is car insurance required in Arizona?

Yes, AZ requires insurance coverage for any vehicle you use on roads, including golf carts and motorcycles. The minimum coverage needed is $25,000/$50,000 in bodily injury liability and $15,000 in property damage liability.

Do I need more than the minimum coverage?

While the minimum limits allow you to drive legally, they’re too little to cover many common accidents. $15,000 of property damage liability, for instance, is not enough coverage to replace nearly any new vehicle today. So, if you’re responsible for totaling someone’s new pickup, you’ll be on the hook for any costs that exceed the $15,000 limit.
